I recorded these songs this morning for my faraway old friend Chad Gracia, who asked for 'the oldies'. I wrote most of these in the nineties, but I couldn't resist playing a few newer ones -- The Great Blue Heron's Fishing song I only wrote a week ago so I'm getting the hang of it still but, this is the way the session sounded and people have been asking for a record of just me and a guitar, so here it is. The guitar is the beautiful Guild my Mom got me for my eighteenth birthday. The magpie on Absent Friends was an accidental inclusion, as was Fozz the dog walking around during the Blue Heron . .
'Love Songs Upon Request' is a sign I keep posted in my guitarcase whenever I go busking. It's been there since Valentine's ten years ago and not once has anyone taken me up on the offer.
