December now and wrapping up what I imagine to be a double album (green translucent vinyl of course) in time for Christmas. Some liner notes:
Baby's Out on Parole is kind of a sequel to or ripoff of Same Bank Twice on my record Shadle Garland Stories.
Up on the Moon is a remake of one from my record Apple-green Cardigan. This version is from 2o1o, before I gave that banjitar to a wackadoo. So many stories. I added instruments to the recording.
The Escape is from around then but somehow I never liked it and so it remained shelved and now I like it so here it is.
Open for Brad is meant for the Canadian singer Brad Sucks. I mean it, all I want to do is open for Brad.
I will never sing Magical Friend to my satisfaction, so I'm putting this version I just did, though the song is from the early 9os, same as Seven Hearts and Crescendo into Skull. I recorded a bunch of other old ones of mine over the summer but threw them away when the Embers came. Maybe next record I'll try them again.
I mostly think of these as blueprints for later, for after. After what? Trump? Covid? Sure, yes.

Lastly, I must tell about my bass. I have had the same beautiful Ibanez bass guitar for twenty-five years now, meaning all the electric bass on all these records is the same bass. That animal has put up with a lot and maintained itself magnificently. Damn I love that bass.
